Official Rules – Council Bluffs “Eras” Scavenger Hunt

The 712 Initiative & the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce is the organizer and sponsor of this scavenger hunt. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform.
- Eligibility
- Open to all ages. Children under 18 must participate with a parent or guardian.
- Participants must visit scavenger hunt locations and complete the required tasks.
- Employees of the Sponsor and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes.
- How to Enter
To enter the Council Bluffs “Eras” Scavenger Hunt:
- Visit the designated scavenger hunt locations.
- Complete the challenge at each stop.
- Post a photo or video on Facebook or Instagram using #CBEras and tag Celebrate CB on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/celebratecb or the CB Chamber/712 Initiative Instagram https://www.instagram.com/cbchamber_the712initiative/
- Entry Period
- The scavenger hunt runs from Monday, May 5, 2025, to Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST.
- All entries must be submitted by the deadline to be eligible for prizes.
- Prize Details
- All participants will receive a free pass to The UP Museum, Rails West Railroad Museum, & the Squirrel Cage Jail.
- Each stop posted is an entry into a prize drawing.
- Participants who complete all required stops by the deadline will be entered into a grand prize drawing.
- Winner Selection & Notification
- Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries.
- The Sponsor will notify winners via direct message on the platform where they entered.
- Winners will be announced on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, via the Celebrate CB Facebook and Instagram pages.
- Winners must pick up their prize at the Council Bluffs Chamber at 149 W Broadway, Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503 between Thursday, May 15th – Friday, May 30th, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Failure to pick up a prize within this timeframe may result in forfeiture.
- If a winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner may be chosen.
- One prize per person.
- Additional Terms
- By participating, entrants grant the Sponsor permission to share their submitted photos/videos on social media and promotional materials.
- The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with the rules, contain inappropriate content, or appear to be fraudulent.
- No purchase is necessary to enter. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
