Rock the Block Volunteer Sign Up
Rock the Block is a neighborhood revitalization event that focuses on helping residents with repair and beautification projects to build pride and connect neighbors. Based off similar successful programs done in Omaha and Des Moines, Rock the Block was started in Council Bluffs in 2020 in partnership between The 712 Initiative and Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs.
This year, the event will be held in the Edison Elementary School neighborhood on September 17th. The Rock the Block team will provide guidance and supplies. This is a great time to connect with neighbors while making an investment in your neighborhood
Types of projects?
Home Repair – Minor gutter repairs, porch repairs
Weatherization – Weather stripping, caulking
Home Preservation – Painting, landscaping
Sign up to volunteer here. Upon signing up, a volunteer waiver will be emailed to you. This waiver must be filled out by all volunteers. Lunch and a Rock the Block t-shirt will be provided.
*Volunteers must be 14yrs+ to participate. If under the age of 18, a parent will be required to sign a waiver on site at Rock the Block.
