COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA, February 27, 2019– The 712 Initiative, the organizers of Farmers Market Council Bluffs (FMCB), is getting ready for its tenth market season and is seeking applications for vendors.

The organization is looking for vendors that sell a range of items, but especially season long produce vendors and monthly art vendors. As demand for local food and products continues to grow, so have the opportunities for Council Bluffs area farmers and makers to market fresh food and products directly to the consumer.

The 2019 farmers market season hosted 23 season long and 16 weekly vendors to downtown Council Bluffs, selling a wide variety of products including fruits, vegetables, eggs, honey, pork rinks, meats and baked goods.

FMCB is the place to be for locally sourced farm-fresh foods and homegrown fun including live music, group fitness, kids activities, special events, and more

“We’re very proud of our market and what it adds to the downtown area. Markets are vital community meeting places and contribute to the economic success of the city and the health and well-being of its citizens,” said Sheryl Garst, CEO of The 712 Initiative.

The Farmers Market will be on Thursdays, beginning May 02, 2019 and ending September 26, 2018. There is availability to participate, weekly or for the entire season.  If you are interested in participating as a vendor fill out the form at bit.ly/fmcbvendorapplication.

Season long vendor applications will be due no later than March 15, with weekly vendor applications ongoing.
